Hike out to the pasture with our goats at grazing time. Watch the herd work the land the old way, hear how the farm ticks, and come back to the terrace for a cheese tasting to savour the flavours of the land you've just wandered through.
What to expect
Live the life of an Istrian shepherd and become our goat guardian for the morning. Take 200 goats out over wild Istrian pasture, through the grasses and herbs that give our cheeses their unmistakable taste. You'll accompany one of our experienced shepherds, spend time in the middle of the herd as they graze and wander, and hear how our rotational grazing shapes the land, the milk and the cheese.
It's the quietest hour on the farm — hills, karst pasture, meadows, oak trees, and 200 curious goats. Once the herd has had its fill, the walk winds down and we head back to the farm terrace for a cheese tasting. Kumparička at its most unhurried, honest and wild.
